since my site will be down at least till wednesday (when ordered parts would probably arrive), i have set up a temporary page for active members that has four cams that can either refresh or stream.

current members can email me your stv username if you would like the url and password to the temporary cam site. you can also try to catch me in irc (irc.undernet.org #stvlive) but you will need an irc application.

i got fish for my desktop tank today. the fish store people said i couldn’t have anything cool, cause all the cool fish poop too much for a 2.5 gallon tank. they let me get 3 neon tetras. they are now huddled in the corner of the tank, making it look huge and empty. you can’t tell i have fish at all. hrmph. i may have to go back to a beta.

i always feel out of sorts when my site is down, but i try not to freak out over it. danny offered to change the dns so the site could come back up temporarily, but really by the time the changes were in effect for everyone it would be time to start changing it back. so it is not worth the effort. he IS however trying to get my mailing list working on his server so i can send out a notice to the people who don’t read me on thier livejournals.

  1. you can have more than 3 neons in a 2.5 gallon tank. i think if you added another 3, they would be much happier, and swim around. tetras are schooling fish, and while you should buy them in 3’s.. a group of 3 is just not enough. 6-12 is a good school. (sorry the aquatic specialist side of me is coming out)

  3. Betas are cooool.
    AngelFish are my favorite though, I used to have lots of them.
    I decided I had no time to keep the fish tank clean though. :/
