stephanie is: busy busy…
sounds like a lot of you had kinda crappy days yesterday… i hope today is better for you! last night we had a mish-mash dinner of whatever was in the cabinets. it ended up being: long grain/wild rice, herb stuffing, green bean casserole, corn, and biscuits. hehe. i’ve been craving frito pie. who want’s hard times?

i am doing a combination of freelance work, site work, and chores off my to do list today. i need to get the laundry under way pretty soon. i am wearing my $10 fuzzy robe since it doesn’t matter what i wear doing freelance work and it is warm. but my feet are getting cold so i guess i’ll get dressed soon.

here is a west hollywood cat declaw ban story (link thanks to tracy). i am very against declawing. declawing IS a form of mutilation. the last part of the cat’s paw bone has to be cut off in the procedure. it is a painful healing process during which the cat has no choice but to walk on his injured feet in order to get around and use the litterbox. my furnature IS NOT more important that my cats. if it ever was i shouldn’t have pets. my pets are my children and i would never mutilate my children just to stop a behavior that comes natural to them. like your furnature and don’t want to declaw? keep their nails trimmed. i can tell it is time for ivan’s trim because he finally has enough nails to make scratching noises on the carpet. if you want even better protection there are humane plastic caps that can be temporarily glued to the nails so they can not do harm. i just can’t wrap my brain around how it could not seem barbaric to everyone. huh. if you know me in person and you like declawing – but don’t want to hear me go off about it, just don’t bring it up and i won’t bother you. it is ultimatly your choice since you are the cats only voice.

i am hungry for lunch but i don’t know what i want.
