sleepy…
i had an uneventful weekend. besides adding more pictures to the new gallery database and working on some family presents… i didn’t do a lot.
on saturday we were very bored and the only thing we could think to do i go to the bookstore to use my gift card. i had made a list of the first books in four sci-fi series but damn barnes & noble didn’t have a single one. so i went with a hardback book i’d been wanting to get – “the crimson petal and the white”. i have only just begun it so no opinions yet. after the bookstore, it was decided that we should find a video store that actually carries “showgirls” since i’d not seen it. we eventually found it at a little independent store a few minutes drive from our house. so we got a membership and rented that and “minority report”. hm, the acting was ranther bad, but there were boobies. elizabeth berkley was always either in a stupor or running away with arms failing saying “this sucks!”. yes, elizabeth, it sure does. the one decent character in the movie gets gang-raped. lovely.
today danny annouced we were going to home depot for a few things later. i made us orange rolls for breakfast then showered, dressed, and did site work to pass the time. late afternoon he said we wouldn’t be going because he was helping his brother online. for dinner danny made pasta since it is sunday pasta night. we still ahve no tv feed anywhere but the bedroom so we watched “minority report” while we ate. is the book better? i may get it if it is… the movie ended at 9:40pm and danny drove it back since it was due at 10pm.
one non-important thing i did today was change my desktop look. fun fun! here is the latest:
