well, i was going to write about being excited about dressing up tonight for danny’s office party. i tried on my outfit last night – a red velvet top with hankerchef/bell sleeves that i got for $14 last month and haven’t worn yet, and danny chose my long black velvet skirt (that he bought me a couple years ago) to go with it. danny said he was planning to wear a tie and i thought we’d look swanky for a picture in front of the pretty christmas tree. alas, there is stupid freezing rain and now it is cancelled until further notice.
i had also planned to go to the mall to finish xmas shopping for danny – there are many 50% off sales today only. but my car always has to be parked outside so danny can have the garage, so it is covered in snow and ice and probably wouldn’t start due to the cold. feh.
i woke up at 7:30am today, as usual. but i got out of bed right away and put dye in my hair to hide the braids i haven’t yet gotten to. the dinner hadn’t been canceled yet so i needed to look nice. and my friend roj had said he may stop by sometime after 9am so i wanted to already be showered. i never got an answer back from him yesterday or today so i guess that isn’t happening. hopefully he is safe if he had to go on the roads in this.
someone’s 2-story birch tree (same size and type as ours) across the street is so weighed down with ice that the top of one half of it is touching the driveway. the other half is a couple feet from touching as well. ours was fine but now the smaller half has gone from straight up to a 45° angle in less than an hour. hopefully they will not die. the hoa already replaced our trees (with ones taller than everyone elses’) and doesn’t want to do it again.
ithink i am babbleing. i need to go back to the work i was doing. at least i don’t have to rush to braid before tonight.
