needing to rebraid…
so i will be out all day friday, possibly as much as friday night through sunday as well. i will be in maryland for my dad’s surgery, and i will stay with him as much as needed when he is released. his surgery will be for his symptoms of parkinson’s disease (you can read his latest diary entry here). the surgery is DBS – i believe that stands for deep brain stimulation and it involves wires being placed in key areas of the brain with a unit in his chest that allows him to control his tremors. it is a somewhat new procedure and there is a possibility he may be filmed for a documentary. (he is still pretty in the dark about that but you can read more in his entry.) if yo’d like to send him electronic well-wishes feel free to use his guest web form. contact me for anything else. hopefully all will go well and he will come out of the procedure with some control over his tremors. i will most likely bring my craptop with me and use it at my dad’s house any night i stay there (it has no battery so i can’t use it out and about).
i have added a christmas sale to my join page. anyone joining or renewing now through christmas will get an extra week free. i also updated the wishlist on my wishlist join page to add gift ideas for my whole “family”. if you are thinking of joining or renewing this month consider that method as it would be lovely to have more gifts under the tree for every when my budget is so tight. so far there are two for the dogs and one for danny – plus a couple animal stocking stuffers. i plan to visit discount stores this week to see what else i can afford – plus i’ve seen a lot of ads for 50% sales this wednesday so that will probably be on my schedule. i am determined to have christmas since we had none at all last year. i adore my tree – it came out so pretty with all the $5 christmas ball sets i’ve bought over the past several years. and i spent $3 on a bunch od glitter snowflakes that look so pretty. i’ve been spending more time in the living room lately enjoying it.

on my todo list today is a lot of site work and a LOT of rebraiding. wednesday evening is danny’s company holiday dinner and if there is a possibility a camera crew will be lurking at the hospital i guess i shouldn’t have frizzy month-old braids. finger cramps here i come!
