we woke up to about 3 inches of snow at 7am. i think we got about 6″ total. i spent the day doing site work, freelance work, shivering from our lack of heat and hot water, and playing in the snow with the puppies.

at 2pm, right when danny went out to shovel the driveway, a gas truck pulled up and someone actually came to turn our gas back on! we had been seeing the gas trucks for a day and a half but they always drove away and left us cold. i took the girls out for one more romp in the snow then finished up my work for the day. at 5pm i took a wonderful long hot shower till i turned into a prune. we hadn’t showered since monday, gah!

tonight i bought my first ever hot coffee drink. it isn’t so odd that it took me so long since i can’t have caffeine. just the amount in a chocolate bar gives me pvcs (a type of heart palpilation) thanks to my dad… and any more than that in a short period of time leads to a migraine. i wanted pepermint cocoa and the starbucks pepermint mocha looked close enough. since dairy makes me sick about 60% of the time (thanks to my grandma i think though i’ve developed this over the last 6 years) i had to make my order rather complex. after one messup they wrote the right drink on the bottom of the cup. it was very yummy! i had a decaf peppermint soy no whip mocha.
