yesterday i decorated our christmas tree. it is a rather scrawny 6′ fake tree we got in 1999. i try to fill in the gaps with a green garland. i got two boxes of 100ct multi lights for $1.67 each to replace our old purple ones that are now very pink. i also paid a few bucks for some more plastic ball ornaments – pretty blue green aurora borialis ones, and 16 glitter snowflakes (80¢ per 4). by the time i got them on the tree very well could have been done, but i was missing a box that held all our family ornaments – those from our childhood and special ones from recent years.
i spent a lot of time searching for the box. we hadn’t decorated the tree in 2 years so i couldn’t remember where we put it. our house is not very big and we don’t have many boxes of things. none in the garage, two under the stairs, one in the animal room closet, and 2 huge heavy ones of albums in the guest closet. by the time i had looked in all of them except the bottom album box, i was beginning to think it got thrown out accidently. in despiration i took everything out of the guest closet so i could open the bottom box. it was there!!! i picked out a couple dozen favorites and finished off the tree. it looks pretties.
in addition to a few little freelance things to do, i will be working on going through the last week of november’s cam pictures and making the gallery. i have more tree pictures that i will put in a xmas gallery, and i will write up the details of my holiday sale.
