busy busy…
busy! i am trying to crochet a shawl to wear to a wedding tomorrow and redo all my braids… i worked on my braids all evening – 4 or 5 hours and got 30 done. it is slow because they are 2+ months old and dreading at the root. ow ow my scalp is so sore from combing them out. i have 35 left to do on the top of my head (out of about 125). i’m not sure i’ll make it. i will do a few more tonight and them do my best tomorrow morning i guess. they’ll be some nappiness left but it will be much better. and once i am done them all i can take pictures for the site, woo!
just before 8pm danny reminded me we had to go to the pet store before 9pm. i washed my poor sore scalp with tea tree shampoo quickly and we headed out. the pet store was closed and had a sign on the door with temporary early closeing times. doh! no puppy chow for the puppies – our brand is pet stores only.
we went a few stores down to have veggie chili for dinner since it was so late already. my frito pie was very small and lacking the beans i ordered. at least they remembered to hold the dairy. i inhaled it and crocheted on my shawl while not eating.
we went to wal*mart next, so we could at least get a couple cans of dog food to last till we get to a pet store tomorrow (lucky puppies). i crocheted in the dark by feel, thinking it would be neat if someone made a light-up crochet hook so you could see the stitches right around the hook.
i am still hungry. food food food. i would like a little taco bell nacho thinger please.
i am going to do a few more rows on the shawl – maybe till the end of the skein, and the do some braids. i have a braiding callous on my right index finger.
