stephanie is: working working…
so.. we found a little one to come live with us, thanks to riverside cat rescue. really though, he chose us. he is a 4 month old from a stray litter in luray, va. a pretty dark grey that is close to a russian blue’s coat, which is probably why his name is ivan. he is terribly loving – you can hear him purr from across the room universe. he could melt anyone’s heart – i bet my daddy would even love him and he is not to thrilled about our large furry family.

ivan loves to play and is very brave when it comes to getting used to the dogs and his new home. he was fostered with two large dogs, which probably helps. once everyone gets over the novelty of new friends, they will all settle in nicely. at the moment the dogs still haven’t fullfilled their sniffing quota. if i make them lay down while they do it, ivan isn’t so scared.

the first day bear only made little noises of disapproval when the kitten would get in his face. but as he watched him play his tail was wagging. today they are happily playing and napping together. i caught ivan giving simba a kiss on the nose. i haven’t heard a single cry from bear overnight since ivan came – andthat is saying a lot because he had been crying all night long. he is still spending 3x as much time with me as before bri died. he still misses his sister. nothing could ever replace that little girrlie.

i’ve been getting up with danny’s alarm at 7am lately, though my body seems to be ignoring that fact. my insomnia is still keeping me up till 3 or 4 am and waking me up often. hopefully it will get to the point when i will get so tired i won’t have any more problems for a while.

i am craving a smoothie and nachos from red robin. i bought lactaid to test when i eat dairy.
