la la la just working as usual.
yesterday i got gas. no problems other than i forgot which side my tank was on and the stupid station wouldn’t approve my debt card that did have enough money on it. i think if i just avoid shady old stations with bad pumps i will no longer get beaten for pumping gas wrong. go away evil gas-pumping karma.
i left the gas station and made it to the villiage center where my meeting was in 15 minutes. no problems this time since i went my their directions instead of map quests’. their office is by a lake, so i took a little walk in the lovely smothering heat and took mini pictures with my mp3-player-slash-crap-ass-camera. here are just a few… i plan to gather all the little pics i take with this cam for a member gallery.
it is a really nice little area to work in. a lake with restaraunts and businesses around the docks. the upper parts of the buildings had apartments with plants dripping off their balconies. over-priced, i’m sure. the lake had a fountain in the center. one building full of windows had painting studios in it. *drool*
after walking i went to my “brainstorming” meeting. everyone i’ve met there is very nice. if hell ever froze over and companies started hiring full-time instead of contract, i’d be camped outside their door, heh.
i was smart this time and had written down directions to the p.o.box from their office. it turned out to be extremely easy, i just hadn’t known which road to turn last time. our nice mail lady gave me one box for two package slips so i asked her to check again.
sure enough, there was a package from sachi of yellow tooth pick. she sent me one of her ass kicking tee shirts and neat san-x stuff of the dog house guy. thank you sachi!! the other box was amazon – the “lord of the rings” dvd from bagu… thank you! i have neither read the book nor seem the movie, but i get to now. it looks like i should at least like the look of it. hm i remember seeing a cartoon movie about it when i was little. or am i just smoking too much crack?
two other quick stops before i went home and got back to work… i got more yarn for two of my cristmas afghans, and bought bunny food,
for dinner i made us mexican food. i put too much chopped green chilis in… i guess they are the same as sliced jalapeños, becuase at 4am i got sick. camped out in the bathroom for a while, thank goodness for books. tmi, i’m sure. went back to sleep around 6am.
