stephanie is: eating…
last night poo dog stole all the bed. that is okay usually cause it forces danny and i to snuggle all night, but he was restless and kept waking me with his knees. ow. poo made it up to me though. we slept a while after dan left for work and she curled up beside me and let me use her as a pillow.
so today i have lots to do since i was at opal’s house helping her clean all day yesterday. i had to go to the bank and the pobox and fresh fieilds. anyone who knows me well irl knows that when i manage errands it is no small accomplishment. i truley hate driving and i am steller at getting lost. bank was first. i filled out the deposit slip all by myself for the first time. i had been just giving the nice bank lady my checks before. i’d never really delt with banks till i get married because my bank was too far away for anything beside direct deposit. so i got that done. next stop was reston, and since i didn’t know how to get there from the bank i back-tracked a bit. made it without trouble since i have gone to the pobox shopping center many times. my tux calendar that someone sent me from linux journal arrived! thank you!
last stop – i walked over a few stores to fresh fields. my main mission was shampoo, but also lunch for this week.
what a stephanie-type-person buys at fresh fields:
-popcorn cakes
-alfalfa sprouts
-whole wheat pitas
-organic tea tree oil shampoo (my normal shampoo, but it is $7 so i only use it 3 times a week)
–organic mint shampoo (it was on sale so i will give it a try. itch is my enemy)
-vegitarian chili with veggies
-guacamole with fire roasted salsa
-red pepper hummus
-jalapeño corn chips
-2 frozen bean masala meals
-2 frozen aloo samosas
plenty more is needed but we can go it from the regular grocery store where is is cheaper.
random thoughts:
is it un-american of me to like ‘changing rooms’ more than ‘trading spaces’?
i wish i had thought to get a peach smoothie before heading home
pie is goood.
it is damn hot outside!
why don’t clothes washers buzz when they are done like clothes dryers do?
dogs like pitas.
many people have commented on my hair this week. i am very pleased with the kanekelon hair i am now using. it costs more but after two weeks my oldest braids are still smooth and silky at the ends. i am used to the jumbo braid ratting up and catching black towel lint in the ends, ew. most common things said to me about my hair:
-how long did that take?! (i saw a week or about 15 hours)
-is that your *real* hair? (nope, my real hair is *this* long)
-who did your hair? (i did) can you do mine? (i’m not as good at braiding others’ hair)
there is a knot the size of texas in my back today. ow 🙁
