stephanie is: hungry hungry…

guess the $$$

the container has a 5.5″ square opening, no real taper, and is filled with 7″ of pure packed pennies, and an additional inch of silver coins at the top (dimes, nickels, quarters).

closest guess gets a prize or something! we are gonna go cash it in since we’ve been dragging it from home to home…

  1. 5.5 inches is = to about 16 centimeters.
A penny is around a half a centimeter thick and there are around a 100 on that front panel.
So you figure around 3000 pennies or about $30.

An inch of silver coins is tough because they add up fast.
From this angle, it looks around 70% dimes and quarters… we’ll say half and half each.

I can see around $10 just on the front panel. Let’s take that times 5 for 5 inches of fun.

    I say there’s probably a 20% error margin on a volume rating from a 2 dimensional photograph.

    So. $30 + 50 = $80 x .2 = $16 +/- $80 = ~$54-96

I like to shoot high so lets call it an even $90.
