it is a nice cool day out today because it rained earlier. dan’s alarm didn’t wake me up at 6am for once. i have been doing contract and stlive work all day. the company that fired me is going to hire me contract to do some work on client websites since they are focusing the staff that is left on the product they are developing. any money i can get works for me.
i just walked the bean and got the mail. all there was was an aol cd and a victoria’s secret sal catalog. it makes me sad that none of my relatives sent me a birthday card or called. i guess i am too old for that. it seems you don’t get many presents when you get old either. that is lame cause i still want toys, hehe. danny couldn’t get me anything cause we don’t have extra money. my most useful gift will be my dad’s old computer. it is twice as good as what i have now. my machine is worked too hard.
heh … laying you off, then hiring you back as a high priced contractor … sound like something out of a Dilbert cartoon.

Birthdays suck when you get older
Stephanie I am with you, my b-day was Friday and my boyfreind and I had no money to buy gifts for me and my family did not call.. birthdays do suck when you get older. I guess people figure that you are older and they dont have to reconize the b-day and that the b-day person does not want to be reminded they are a year older!
you should get cards
I am 32 and still get cards and calls from all of my relatives on my birthday. I am sorry to hear that you didn’t, and feeling guilty that I have been taking it for granted. I think I will call them up and thank them.
