bah. sorry the streaming and one of the cams is down. my laptop froze mid-day and now it won’t boot. it gets to the happy mac stage and stops. i’ve even done a clean install of the system with no luck.
and there has been a member viewing my cams constantly 24/7 so often that my access logs are HUGE. danny is disabling them and writing to them…
i am tired. time to go to puppy class.

I am not very familiar with macs, but when PC has same problem at boot-up, it usually means the master boot record is corrupt. If you have fdisk on laptop, try this:
FDISK /MBR
This re-writes the master boot record from second FAT and restores everything.
Usually corrupt mbr is just magnetic fading, but sometimes virus can do it in, too.
Like I said, if laptop is a mac, I don’t know…
But there must be some way to re-write it.

Oh, yes, you must boot from floppy first. of course. DOS is okay to use for FAT 16, but boot disk for your OS is better for FAT 32.
