sleepy but braided!
ow ow, my feet blistered up and are soo ouchy! well we took the bus to the downtown area again and went into sports stores until i found some tan/grey vans skate sneakers for 610.00 pesos (about $60). ahhhh foot heaven! we bought some underwater cameras and took a taxi back to the resort.
oh yeah – we ate lunch at one of the other resorts run by the same company since it was free. we were so glad we weren’t staying there. the property was tiny since it was in the hotel zone.
in the afternoon we biked again for 40 minutes. (biking around: 1, 2, 3, 4) we made reservations 
for tours on thursday and friday, and i made a hair appointment for 8:30pm that night to have braids and beads put in. we ate dinner in a big restraunt on the other side of our resort (dinner: 1, 2, 3). it was another tasty buffet. i was always getting rice and salad and potatoes or fries. and always dessert. we had a nice waiter. he told me he was bringing me a non-alcoholinc fruity drink instead of only the water i ordered. it was too sweet but it was nice of him.
after dinner we walked back to the main lobby and went to the beauty salon. we waited while they finished one girl’s braids then they worked on mine from 8:30 to sometime after 9pm. (braids: 1, 2, 3, 4) i was trying not to cringe as i heard the tiny rubber bands going in or the wires with beaded flowers that they wrapped around each braid. i’m sorry hair! i was falling asleep from being up past 8pm but it turned out so pretties. danny said i look like a princess, hehe. when i smile my scalpe pulls tight and feels funny which makes me smile more… i hope i don’t mess them up while i sleep tonight!
