stephanie is: wishing the weekend wouldn't end... wishing the weekend wouldn’t end…

i woke up at 9am congested from allergies. they kicked my ass all day. danny cooked a – damn, dial-up hung up on me. danny cooked a yummy breakfast for us and ed, and his brother mark joined us. erm, did that make sense? whatever. i did a little bit of site stuff including takeing pictures of old photos (i don’t have a scanner) to include in my old diary.

then i tried to play the sims. i have had it for eons but it always crashed every two minutes. we all went out to lunch, then i tried some more while the boys were all showing off their guitar skills. after trying everything i could think of, i removed a file from the skins forlder that was called “_” and suddenly i stopped crashing. hmmm… so i actually played the game for the first time after i built a new house. i had always been able to use the build mode but would crash in the live mode and while making people. that is why i decided to look in the skins folder. hopefully it is a permenant fix.

only a day and a half went by in my game, but danny and i (we are the bork borks, hehe) fell in love before we even walked in the house. we were all rich and stuff cause i embezzled funds, so we swam and played pool and danced. we slept in the same bed on the first night. danny started a fire while cooking his breakfast. that dumbass! hehe. so gave him mine that i had just cooked.

you can see pictures and stuff here. yes, half the house is empty and blocked off on the first floor. i figure we’ll need more room later since danny is going to start his own pimp business…

bleh my eyes are sooo weepy still. i have to wear my contacts tomorrow cause i have an eye appointment to make sure they are fitting well. i need to wear them for at least 3 hours before the appointment so i shall just wear them the whole day i guess.

  1. hehe my Sims are pyromaniacs too, or else they are just stupid. The “Hilary” SIM set fire to the kitchen as she was standing there cooking. I dont see how a fire could start if you are standing right there watching what you are doing.

I just got new contacts too. I have been wearing glasses because my eyes hate contact. I want to tear my eyes out after like a few hours of contacts. blargh.

  2. Gosh Steph!

What a great sim house you two live in! I took a virtual tour of your Sim house and now I wish I could live in your neighborhood.
You have way too much time on your hands girl!
    lol;)

  3. Yeah! Fire!

Heh heh heh! FIRE! Heh heh heh!

Yeah, The Sims is totally unrealistic when it comes to that sort of thing. If you don’t get your cooking skill points up, then anytime you use a stove or a BBQ there’s like a 99% chance it’ll catch on fire, and you’ll burn the whole place (and your Sims) down. Weird weird weird.

There’s probably a cheat to pump up those points too. 😉 I haven’t played in a while; the play mechanics are a bit too unreal, and beg for cheat codes half the time.

what you have to do is buy a bookcase and read about cooking. that gets your cooking skill up and then you don’t start fires as often. hehehe

  4. neon monkey brains!

The Sims for me kept crashing too. Everytime I’d try to create new people or just during a game. First I thought it was because I downloaded a bunch of new skins. So I went and deleted everything and reinstalled the game. It still crashed. I swear I’ve reinstalled The Sims 20 times. Last time I played though it didn’t crash. But it didn’t always crash. Just whenever it felt like it. But I have that “_” file also and I also got rid of it a few times. So that might not be it. Who knows though. I think that game just likes to crash. It’s a bad monkey. Cool house by the way. Do you have it where it can be downloaded from thesims.com?
