stephanie is: at work.
ow i am uncomfortable today. my legs have been swelling and aching a lot lately… tthey have always done that when i am exhausted and stressed. i used to get leg cramps the night before plane trips as a child. normally i am fine by morning, but today my entire legs are swollen. not huge-i-got-an-injury-swollen, but very full and painful and my skin is tight. i tried on serveral pairs of pants before i gave up and stuck with one. now i am thinking i should have worn a skirt. i have pains in my legs and it hurt to move my foot between the gas and brake of my car. i feel like i am going to loose circulation in my legs soon. ow. i am going to make myself drink lots of water and avoid all salt till i am better. ugh. i am going to try to get a tax appointment for either tonight or a night next week. i can’t take the stress of doing it after the honeymoon. i already have to deal with name change crap then. ugh. enough about all that. i am trying to ignore the pains in my legs.
so yesterday i left work on time cause i had a lot to do. i walked chinabean when i got home. she pooed for the first time on a leash. sweet jeebus that was some stinky pudding shit i had to carry home. iiiicckkk. then i worked on my wedding dress some. i have it all pinned up and it turns out i have less i need to do to it. i do, however, have to buy shoes. i was just going to give up and wear boots or nothing but i need some heels so the length is right. i unpacked all my stuffies and arranged them nice in the guest room. i washed the guest towels. danny’s uncle will be staying with us saturday night. once he is gone i’ll need to wash the towels and sheets again before melissa gets here.
owch my legs feel bad. i am sure sitting here for 8 hours isn’t going to help, but i am stuck here. danny took the day off, but i don’t have any sick time or vacation so if i went home it would be leave-without-pay.

Shoes….
You know.. 🙂
There is a frugal fannies near your place. I’d check out there. They have really good deals.
Or you could try DSW they have an excellent selection. I love both places.
Just a thought. My moms legs swell up too, and when hers do she takes diaretics to make the swelling go down. The doctor prescribes them to her for that. When she runs out she gets the ones at the store and they work too. Good luck with the shoe quest 🙂
are you having sympathy pains for me???
poor thing… my swelling has finally gone down (I think maybe for good this time… I hope anyway)… I took an o-t-c diuretic yesterday and it didn’t seem to be doing ANYTHING ’til this morning…
I hope you find shoes quickly! And that your legs get better soon (do you get a lot of potassium in your diet? If not, eat a banana… works every time).
hm… i shall grab a nana at lunch today. hopefully they are less green than they were yesterday.
Yoga?
I had really swollen legs from a 36 hour flight once, and I found the only thing that got rid of them was yoga. Granted, I couldn’t bend over far enough to touch my knees, but after a while it worked the swelling out of them.
Leg Swelling
I’ve had leg swelling for years… Compression worked best for me– i.e. stockings. It helps the blood move and gets the excess water out of your legs… And helps things feel oh-so-much better.
If regular Leggs don’t work.. sometimes you have to bite the bullet and go for one’s meant for compression. I cried when I was told that, but then realized Victoria’s Secret makes some 🙂 They’re called PulsePoints and really just look like tights.
Warm soaks help lots too… And elevation.
Best wishes for your wedding! Hope your legs feel better soon!
Ya’ll ought to try…
Science Diet Dog Food, its partially rice based (lots of fiber), more solid poopies and much healthier though a little more expensive.
Re: Ya’ll ought to try…
i think we already use that. but he had to give her her heart worm (or something) pill the night before so that may have made her poo funny…
