argh! well, since our t1 has been delayed till the end of march, we have been trying again for dsl (we were turned down once). our neighbors two doors down got it without any trouble. now we can’t even place the order because covad can no longer find our address. wtf!?! danny is trying to call the place our neighbors got dsl from. he waited on hold for ten minutes then ended up with their voicemail. i think they are on west coast hours. we are not holding our breathe for dsl. it is such a longshot. i don’t know what else can go wrong. i guess we just have to wait it out and hopefully by summer have the t1. i ust hope that the $900/month is manageable since it seems it is our only choice.

Don’t appologize! You are trying to get the site back up…that’s all you can do! If someone bitches that it’s taking too long…I will personally beat them up for you! =)

Do you think that this whole internet thing will drown out your good memories of the new house?
Like do you think that when you look back on your house buying experience, you will only remember the shitty time you had trying to get the dsl?

Anyway, what you need to do (if your neighbor two doors down is within about 100 feet as the crow flies) is to hook up an AirPort base station to their Ethernet while they aren’t looking, and get a couple of 802.11b wireless cards for your computers…

they have offered to let us use their connection wirelessly while we wait, but like i have hundreds of dollars for the equipment. we’ll just have to be patient.

What I meant is that there was a lot of stress and bad memories with the internet problems, and I thought that might affect your memories about the new house.
But I guess from your response that it didn’t affect you as much as I perceived from what you wrote, so nm I guess…:
