coughing too much…
ugh. i coughed all night and woke up with a body full of phlegm and a sore throat. i have a fever of 99.3 – hopefully that will go away before it gets worse… we need to go grocery shopping or something. i feel like i want to gag everytime i cough. i hate this stage of being sick. but i am happy that i got my appetite bac last night. i think danny is making muffins for breakfast. bleh, is there such a thing as a lung enima? i just want the lung glue to be gone so i can breathe again.

Actually, yes. There is such a thing as a lung enema. It is called broncho-alveolar lavage and it is quite invasive. Sometimes they can go in with a bronchial brush and scrape some of the crap out. It looks like a small bottle brush. I think you have to be in very bad shape to get either of those procedures.
Keep drinking lots o’ fluids to keep the secretions liquid and flowing and you’ll be ok. Tell me to shut up if I’m giving you too much info..:)

i get broncitus in the spring and in the fall, it totatlly sucks…i feel like im gonna suffocate from all the phlem 🙁
There’s also chest physio therapy, which involves someone thumping you on the back alot and breathing moist air to loosen up all the crud…
