stephanie is: hopeful hopeful…

i went home at lunch and took china outside. she tinkled twice and poopied like a good puppy. she was sound asleep until i walked into the bedroom. she wasn’t quite so happy when i left though…

and about the job stuffs… after a brief chat with the higher ups they have proposed i stay salary and work from home 3 days a week. that could be good… i am a little nervous about the whole work-from-home thing but this would allow me to try it out and stay salary. i would have some extra time three days a week for freelance in the evenings, and i would be there for china. all without loosing my financial stablity. i hope they approve it. they bring it up to the president and marketing team at thier wednesday 8am meeting… cross your fingers!

Not to throw a dirty sock into the pile, since the ability to work at home and get paid seems to be the ideal venue for folks these days.

I do wish you luck, and hope that it brings revenue in, for the sake of your expenses with the Stv site. Do you think you’ll be able to handle a morning job, freelancing in the evening, plus do the daily updates to the Stvlive site once the T-1 comes in?

  3. Change can be good — but a lot of change can be tricky

One thing to keep in mind is how many big changes you want to manage over a short time span. Buying a house is major stress on both mind and budget, and the T1 will be another major expense — simultaneously making a third change that might add uncertainty to the mix should raise enough flags that you need to be VERY sure all your ducks (and rabbits and cats and dogs) are in line before diving in.

If the deal with the company means no reduction in pay (just a change in venue 3 days a week), then it could be a good way to learn about how well you work at home (if that’s a question). Just be aware that multiple changes can add up in ways that are not exactly linear or predictable. So make sure you’ve got an escape pod…
