owwwie! my tummie is eating me from the inside out! i was working all day and looked up to realize it was like 3pm and i never went to the deli for a big salad like i planned. and it closes like at 2pm. doh! i still have gobs of work to do before cob so it is time for a sandwich cracker feast™.
ack! they just told me a web site i am doing has to go live sunday instead of monday. um, they havn’t written the content yet. i don’t want to work on the weekend. i already spent 8.5 hours at danny’s work last sunday. gr gr. hopefully they will have content ready tomorrow and friday (after we’ve been asking them for it for a month).
that sucks. but I like your sweater ; )
bah! we have the same problem here. (i’m sure it’s a problem everywhere)
And when the clients actually do come up with the content, without a doubt they will change it, and then wonder, why we didn’t meet the dealine.

They better be paying you good money if you work the weekends. LOL. I only get paid a $10 bonus for showing up on weekends but end up leaving 3 hours later.

I’m late posting, but now that I have my friends filter all tweaked I can view my favorite people ASAP.
I have a client who told me he would have the content to me ASAP. The site is due on Wednesday, the webhost has not installed a drop ship module which is necessary for the store to run smoothly. By Wednesday??? And my boss now docks my pay for deadlines missed. I’m going to have a talk with him. I can do what I need to do in a day, but dammit, I like a cushion.
I hope you don’t have to stay over the weekend.

well at least they said i could take a day off if i do have to come in on the weekend… but bah – i’d rather be off of the weekend since it is one of the 2 days a week i have time with danny…
I agree this is a universal problem. We are in the middle of a project and someone in senior management pulled a date out of his ass. They refuse to add resources and then beat us up if things don’t go smoothly. HELLO!!!!!
Part of me thinks to get that high up in an organization you need to have part of your brain sucked out with a straw.
