last night danny and i dragged ourselves to do our grocery shopping. i wanted to go then instead of tonight because it is supposed to snow early saturday and everyone will be going to get milk and tp tonight.

i got this note from danny’s grandma. it is about one of the october cancer donations so i wanted to post it here as a thank you to all of you. i had $400 that i was thinking could go to braintumor.org in honor of danny’s mom – but the site was down right when i was paying for them all. dan suggested the dana-farber institute since she had gone for treatments there.

Stephanie: I got a letter today from the Dana Farber Institute telling me of
your donation in honor of Shelley. That was so thoughtful and we appreciate
your kindness so much. I will never forget how happy she was two Christmases
ago when you and Dan came to celebrate with her and she surprised us. I know
she is looking down and watching both her boys and she is so proud of them
both. She just loved you and was so happy that Dan had such a wonderful girl
in his life. I know we haven’t had much time to spend together, but I sense
in you a very loving and caring person. Thank you again for your
thoughtfullness. You made my Christmas a happy one. Love from both Grandparents
