so i am trying to vote and i am starting to think the golden goat contest is kinda lame. it’s like they just want you to vote for the people you know, since they didn’t link to any of the journals so you can make a fair judgement. and some of the ones listed in “worst” seem exactly like the ones in “best”. hmmm. voting things always turn into popularity contests.

i agree, even though it’s meant to be all in fun.
i think they should have a place for write ins since there are some categories that i haven’t heard any of the people listed.
Where did they come up with these journals to put in the categories? Were we even asked if we wanted to submit our journals to the contest? Is this just a handful of people’s picks and not the whole picture?

I want it to be known that I intend to visit all these sites, make a fair assesment as to which ones I like best, and vote accordingly. Perhaps I’ll be one of the few to do so, but I feel I should do so out of principle, and heck, I might make some new friends this way, so more power to me.
I also agree with spiral about his point of allowing write ins. I want to write in Moonsis for best style, just despite ibrad 🙂 How she ended up on the worst style list is a complete mystery to me.

I agree with the whole popularity issue of this.. Stephanie you do have the kewlest livejournal style though. I didn’t even know about the GoldenGoat until sachi mentioned it.. where was everyone else while these names were being mentioned.. whatever, maybe if the awards were announced a little better and the ballots made more fair I’d acutally be voting.
