stephanie is: cold cold.

brrr. we had an ice storm last night. it wasn’t that bad though. my car was covered in a quarter inch of ice. danny decided to go in late. i got up as normal and scraped my car. the drive in was fine – just some slushy spray from the cars in front of me. the trees were all pretties and looked like they were made of glass. i had checked to see if i could connect to my computer from home before i left and i couldn’t. so i guessed the power at work was either out, or had been out. when i got near my building the street lights were out, so i knew. the elevators were out of course but i have a special key which unlocks the door to our floor in the stairs. i let myself and a programmer in. the power came on shortly after i got to my desk, though our internet connection took about 30 minutes to wake up. i am glad i came in early. i will be happy to leave before dark so i can avoid when it all re-freezes in heavy rush hour traffic.

last night was a slow night for me. i was very tired. i let each bunny have a turn running around the office while i played the guitar (badly) and danny cooked pastages. bunbun did great and learned how to run up and down her carpeted hutch ramp all on her own.

after dinner i showered and changed, then went through about 10,000 more cam pics. i had bunches to upload to the server, but dan started messing with the router right before i tried to upload them so now i can no longer reach in internal network. hopefully he can get that fixed up in the next few days so i don’t loose track of the edits i am making locally on my puter.

that is all for now. oh yea! i just got and email from one of the places i have a wishlist at reminding me that time is running out to place xmas orders. that remids me that i never posted about my xmascards/gifts yesterday:

“um, friend-type-people! send me your mailing addresses. i want to try to send out gifties or cards or something. hopefully i will have the time to. send your addies to me at [email protected]. sankya! “

if you would like to contribute to my quest to get xmas cards all the way around the door, go to my temp site for the address. and i’d also like to make a page with audio xmas greetings from people. to submit one, just call and leave me voicemail (1·800·222·6000 ext223000081). you can say whatever you what in whatever language, but make it something for the holidays and/or new year. thanks! oh, and i can’t tell who it is unless you say your name!

doh power flicker!

  1. I LOVE this weather. I suppose the same storm that came through Oklahoma got to you! It’s a mess to drive in. Especially when no one is careful, and they will go 50mph WHILE talking on a cell phone. It drives me crazy. AND, they didn’t salt the roads well enough. Bleh. But, besides that, it’s gorgeous outside.
