ooof. my period arrived just in time for me to be crampy all weekend. and tomorrow night is our company’s semi-formal christmas party. i took advil right before i ate my lunch so hopefully that will get me through the day. i am just hoping the pain won’t be like my last two periods. three months ago was great – no pain at all and 4 days instead of 7. the next month was pretty bad. but last month – OW. i had to work from home for two days cause i couldn’t even sit upright without being close to vommiting/screaming. we were in the middle of packing for our big move so i am sure stress did a number on me then. i just want it to be at a point where i can somewhat ignore the pain. i have a high pain tolerance. so far so good. the advil is working so the cramps have sorta changed into this weird “moving” feeling like something is crawling around in my uterus. hehe. yey for drugs! lets just hope they stay lite enough the drugs keep helping.

  1. mine are really bad as well, mostly due to having a coil. i sympathise. i’ve had some so bad that i can’t even stand up straight. once i had to sleep in the bathtub of hot water. 🙁 but since i’ve gone off chemicals, i had to find alternatives to nurofen and solpadene, and came across evening primrose oil, which has proved to be even better than the ibuprofin! if you can find it there (health food shoppes should carry it), give it a go. i take a 1000mg cap every morning(it’s good for your skin as well), and then 3000mg a day when my pmt hits. had a spot of pain this afternoon, but it went away within 30 minutes.

re: christmas cards…i’ll send you my new york address, and if you send me yours, i’ll send you one from moscow. 🙂
