stephanie is: tired tired.

i am sleepies still *yawn* i am wishing i had a vacation coming up cause i am sooo burnt out. i keep wanting to just go to bed right when i get home from work cause i can’t bear to be awake any longer. my commute is so rotton this time of year – up to 3 hours round trip (24 miles). *sigh* i had to have all my remaining vacation time for the year advanced to me to i can take three days off to pack and move next week. one of those days will be leave-without-pay since i don’t have enough. i have to work a little late today to make up for leaving a little early to vote. tomorrow i work from home because we have out house walk-through at noon.

i got a lot done on my admin stuffs last night. more to do though. i have a program i enter everyone’s member info and donation amounts into and then the monthly expenses (the $400 for dsl that runs the servers and whatever monthly donations to charity i make). i still have to get october added in before i am caught up with that. i also started exporting each month to html where i cleaned them up, subtracted the expenses from the total, then carried to amount of profit over to the following month. i am currently on september. august finished with like $200 profit and september was a slower month so it may be down around even. i know in october all $1k that was made is going to charity so that will bring it down to -$400. november will be high with expenses because we have to pay to have the dsl installed in the new place and we are required by our contract to still pay that month’s dsl in the apartment. so that will be maybe as much as $1k in the negatives (which i know november won’t do in new member donations because our move is going to cause up to 2 weeks of site down time). okay well i am babbleing outloud. i don’t know if anyone is curious about the money side of my site. i think it would be just fine if my site exactly paid itself off plus allowed me to make charity donations. but it is fine if i don’t quite make it. all i know is i am saving everything and come tax time i shall give it to a professional and say “have fun!”

  1. i know our dsl service didn’t charge us for reinstallation when we moved, and we wern’t binded to a contract with our old place, because essentially, we didn’t break our contract, we just moved it. You should check with your service to see if they will possibly waive the installation fee. Especially since you guys are such good customers to them with 400 a month.

  2. eeek 3 hours!

That’s a horrible commute time. My office is 10 miles away and it takes 20 minutes max. I really take for granted my flexible hours I guess. Also I’m in Maryland, and I think VA traffic is a lot worse(well it must be!).
