i am wearing my 50’s costume at work today. only 2 other people are dressed up so far. i feel like a big gooer, but it is fun. i am hoping we get more that two trick-or-treaters this year. maybe next year will be fun cause i’ll be in a townhouse neighborhood…

  1. HEHEHE . told ya you could wear the poodle outfit to the office … ;o)

Our IS group did the entire cast from the Wizard of Oz .. including Toto and the Munchkins.

We too have a bunch of Stick in the Muds though but most of them are embaraassed … hehehe … cause they stand out and have to make excuses for not being dressed up.

I can believe the story about the grrl at school. There is no judgment, no discretion, no sense of humor in schools anymore. Zero Tolerance to the point of absurdity. And that is only one of the problems. Sighhhh … Ohhhh for the good old days. (which for me are slightly older than your good old days … hehehe)

    CYA !!

  2. yeah well it doesn’t surprise me babe, i stopped wearing any kind of symbols after awhile becuz it was more trouble than it was worth. and today one of the techs (don’t get me wrong he’s a nice guy) saw one of the cursors on my screen which is a pentacle and got a tad spooked…maybe i was asking for it though by having it there in the first place. people just automatically associate that stuff with devil worship alot of times and that really annoys me. i politely explained the significance to him and he actually was like “ok cool” but alot of people dont react that nicely about it. i don’t give other people shit for wearing crosses and or the star of david (in fact the guy im seeing happens to be jewish), so get off my fuckin’ back. here’s a nice slice of freedom of religion for everyone. hexes?? bah…why don’t you toss her in the river to see if she drowns and is therefor not a which while you’re at it.

  3. Weird…

It just comes to show that people really will sue for anything and everything. We were just talking about the lady who sued McDonalds because she spilled coffee in her lap and it burned her. She sued McDonalds b/c she’s a clutz?? I just hope that this crap doesn’t reflect bad on Oklahoma. People tend to look down on us for some really ODD reason. I remember going to Colorado and a girl asked us if we rode horses to school!!!!! WHAT?!?! Yea, and we still shit in outhouses! Geesh. The stupidity.

  4. Before I even look at that link, there is a school here in Tulsa, Union I think, that recently expelled a girl for the same thing. The parents are suing, saying that this is all a “witchhunt.”

  5. Hooray for the school!

I’m really happy that the school did that to that girl. I’m really hoping they will push the occult out in schools. Every public school, they push Jesus out. I think that’s really sad. What is the world getting to. Well, we’re in the last days so the world won’t get any better. ::sigh::

    • Re: Hooray for the school!

What kind of crap is that?!?!? Why is it that people who believe in a certain religion, feel like their way is the only way? Sure, push wicca out, but you better as hell agree that people should be suspended for wearing a cross around their neck too. It goes both ways. Jesus has been “pushed” out of school because people should not be forced to believe in him/her/it or the stories surrounding. Personally, I don’t care if you pray to jesus, or if you pray to a stale twinkie. To me it’s all the same, and to each his own.

      • Re: Hooray for the school!

I totally agree with you, but sadly, that will never happen. When I was in high school, two kids hung themselves in the bathroom, and the parents and the school board started a witch hunt, and gothy kids were the target. I just wore black, and they wanted to suspend me. FOR WEARING BLACK. Being blinded by a religion does some crazy stuff to ya.
It’s like that simpsons episode :
“Religion has no place in public schools, just like fact has no place in organized religion”

        • Re: Hooray for the school!

I was in a poetry club in high school and I remember for Twin Day we all decided to wear black jeans and black t-shirts. Because at that point the school had dubbed us the “freak club” because alot of the members were the not-so-popular-kids, ie- alot of them did NOT wear black or were NOT pagan/wiccan/etc. Well, so Twin Day came and people started slamming us and we were told we could NEVER do that again. Then the whole columbine thing happened, lucky me for X-mas I had recieved a nice new leather black trench…my friend Craig had one too. I stopped wearing mine for weather reasons and only got a couple comments about it but I remember Craig got threatened with suspension and whatnot. And for 3 yrs (the amount of time I was in that club) I can’t tell you the amount of time members spent in conselours offices having to deal with harrassment issues, both towards them and of being accused.

      • Re: Hooray for the school!

Mmmmmm stale twinkie…. yes… it is my god… muahahaha… well that and I worship whoever invented vodka.. heh

      • Re: Hooray for the school!

What kind of crap is that?!?!??

That’s not crap. That’s my beliefs. Everyone has diffrent beliefs so please respect mine.

Why is it that people who believe in a certain religion, feel like their way is the only way?

Why? Well, I’m a Christian and I believe in the Bible. I believe Jesus is the ONLY way. Here’s the scripture. “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)

And I know and believe (I’m not putting any other religions down but i’m sharing my beliefs on this), “That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.” (Romans 10:9-10). I totally believe in that. I know there will be a lot of people who disagree with me. I know there will be a lot of people who have different beliefs than me. That’s fine. I’m okay with that. But let me believe what I believe.

Sure, push wicca out, but you better as hell agree that people should be suspended for wearing a cross around their neck too. It goes both ways. Jesus has been “pushed” out of school because people should not be forced to believe in him/her/it or the stories surrounding.

There’s so much ocult in schools right now. I’m happy to see they are trying to get that out of there. Casting a spell, reading horoscopes, studing witchcraft…one word – OCULT. And wearing a cross or having a Christian shirt on, it’s not. Christianity isn’t a cult. Like I said, I’m just sharing my beliefs.

        • Re: Hooray for the school!

Ack… stop sharing… I don’t wanna know!!! People can believe what they want…. just to cram your beliefs down my throat…. bah! ok.. I am done… for now.. MUAHAHAHAHA

          • Re: Hooray for the school!

I’m sorry but no. I take back that sorry – because I didn’t do anything. I’m still going to share my beliefs. If you don’t want to listen, then don’t. Simple as that.

        • Re: Hooray for the school!

Please do us all a favour, and save your scripture for your own journal. Like I said, to each his own. I don’t care what you believe in, keep it to yourself, or at least to the people that want to read it. I stopped reading your journal for just that reason.

          • Re: Hooray for the school!

No. I’m not going to keep my beliefs to myself. If you don’t like what I’m postin, don’t read. Simple as that…so “no” to your request.

        • Re: Hooray for the school!

Could you please back up what you believe from a non-bible stance? Can you justify the negotiation of human rights from a perspective where you wouldn’t need to rely on the bible? Do you believe that the bible is what God intended for us to worship? If I took your bible away from you, would you still believe in it? The truest Christian does not need the book. Faith is a gift. The messages you speak against homosexuality and difference of religions and even pit bulls is intolerable. And just so you know, thousands of people (including witches or wiccans) were killed by Christians for believing in a different religion. How can you expect people to practice a religion that persecutes? I will not worship a god who wants us to kill non-believers, I’m sorry. We are all protected under the constitution to practice religious freedom. That means, you can believe that the girl was wrong in exploring a different religion, but you cannot deprive her of her rights to explore.

Open your eyes to possibilities. The truth may astound you, if you can open your heart to it. You must learn to embrace all kind, instead of perpetrating hatred and intolerance for those who are different. That is the true meaning of God’s message, and your interpretation is sacriligious.

        • Re: Hooray for the school!

          don’t be such a fucktard.

I went to catholic school for 12 years, took assorted classes in various religions, read up on occultism and neumerology in high school, dated a wiccan girl, and if I’ve learned anything, its tolerance. Something you clearly lack.

I mean shit… even John Lithgow at the end of Footloose learned tolerance.

        • Re: Hooray for the school!

Worshippers of the Stale-Twinkie are going to hell. Only worshippers of the Partially-Melted-Vending-Machine-HoHo will experience eternal bliss……

          • Re: Hooray for the school!

            That’s it!
I try to make my religion a loving one, but if you can’t accept it, you will burn in hell! Bow to the almighty cream filled, spongy goodness. The ho-ho contains beef product, and is therefore impure. Hail to the stale twinkie!

          • Re: Hooray for the school!

But can a stale twinkie or a partially melted Ho-H0 compare to the marshmellowly goodness of a ding dong?

            All worship the ding dong.

Imagine a world where Pat Buchannon would be in a position of power to tell us what is good and what is bad for religious beliefs?

Personally i will take a good grilled cheese sandwich over Jesus any day πŸ™‚

          • Re: Hooray for the school!

well…one of the main mysteries of our religion is that twinkies can not become stale, therefore, if one does become stale…it is holy!

consider, if you will: the shelf life of a twinkie is 500 years.

Did you get dropped on your head as a child? What right do you think anyone has to push out ANY religion…suposedly in school you’re supposed to learn about a little thing called “freedom of religion.” You know, that kind attitude i had to put up with all through my highschool years and it’s really disgusting. And if you think that witchcraft and the “occult” means all sorts of horrible things then you need to brush up on what you’re talking about before you say anything against it or its practioners.

Religion is a choice each person has to make for themselves. I have friends who are Catholic, Protestant, Buddhist, Daoist, Pagan, Jewish etc, and I’m not about to hold anything againt them or judge them for what they believe wether or not I agree with it. My friends love me, THATS what matters. And FYI, those people you want to push out are everywhere, it’s attitudes like that that force them to have to keep their religion a secret. People lose their jobs over shit like that. Ignorance is bliss aint it? Freedom of religion means for EVERYONE, not for whoever you deem fit.

      • Okay…..say what you must say, but let me say this before you start to assume things about me…

Everytime you are trying to be mean to a person, do you feel proud of yourself? ::shakes head:: How old are you?

And if you think that witchcraft and the “occult” means all sorts of horrible things then you need to brush up on what you’re talking about before you say anything against it or its practioners.

I DO know what I’m talking about. I’ve researched on occults/cults for a LONG time. Read my journal if you want to know. Plus you don’t even know me.

Everytime you are trying to be mean to a person, do you feel proud of yourself? ::shakes head:: How old are you?

Trying to be a mean person? I make it a point to try and do right by people, everyone is human and makes mistakes, but I think I can safely say that for the most part I put other people before myself and try to help them out when they need it. And I’m plenty old enough to have a good office job and still hold the responsibility to have a 3.8 GPA in college.

I DO know what I’m talking about. I’ve researched on occults/cults for a LONG time. Read my journal if you want to know. Plus you don’t even know me.

Well if you HAVE studied up on the facts and not myth (I’m not insuating, I’m stating) then you would know that any real wiccan (or variation thereof) aren’t a bunch of people against goodness and niceness running around, rather they revere nature and respect it. They don’t worship satan or anything of the like, in fact, they don’t even believe in him. Two of the biggest causes of war are money and religion. And you are right, I don’t know you, what I do know is that you or anyone else for that matter) has the right to impose they’re beliefs on others. Take has Islam was spread for example, research it even, it was a little thing called “the book or the sword.” Or maybe I should bring up the holocaust….or the salem with trials…extreme examples, yes, and I’m in no way saying you’d be the type of person to go along with such atrocities. Merely I am using these to point out what intolerance has cost people.

Ok, I’m done, and I’m not wasting anymore time on this conversation. I just really don’t like when people preach what I should do with my life and my beliefs.

    • Re: Hooray for the school!

we,re in the last days???? Oh shit!!!! I wont get to draw social sercurity!!!! I wonder if you could give me a date,,i would love to max out all my credit cards and maybe even start drinking again!!!!

  6. I think if the girl actually did try to “cast a spell” to try to make a teacher sick, she should be suspended. Teachers should not have to put up with disrespect.

I don’t think school should ban clothing/drawings, UNLESS the kids wear them just to make a disturbance (for instance, shirts with obscene language or pictures). Granted, there is the chance that that girl is honestly exploring Wicca. In which case she should be able to wear/draw it. However, there is a good chance that she was just doing it to cause a disturbance.

Oh, an addendum, I think schools should be able to censor shirts, etc. if they promote racism or sexism or drugs, alcohol, or tobacco.

Hmm, I think school uniforms are a good idea. It prevents problems like this.

    • Pigs Fly (yah, when I’m smoking somthing maybe)

Now THAT is one fucked up story. Silly stewards, “its my guide pig” ??

Reminds me of the commerical of “ever get the impression people just stopped trying?”

  7. To me that’s just as bad as the jerks at my old school telling I couldn’t wear a Cross or let anyone hear me pray. That’s just sick, a person has the right to believe whatever they want and show they’re support for whatever it is they believe in. People do not have’t to be such asses about everything. Am I Christian? Yes. But do I think that’s the only way you can believe? NO. They’re are tons of Religions out there, you should be able to choose the one that suits you and openly support it. It’s terrible that people are so close minded about another person’s beliefs… It shouldn’t be happening…

    • Student disrespects a teacher. School disciplines her for that disrespect. Student gets mad at the school and plays religious persecution card (which is in the same suit as the race card used in the OJ trial). Everyone gets all defensive.

  8. My My My….

I am a Christian. No doubt about it. I know what I believe in. I stand proud in what I believe in. Do you know that people put me through more hell because I believe in our Creator?? Why? I never argue. I listen with open ears and heart. I pray for people that have a closed heart. I don’t have hate in my heart. It makes me sad for the people that call me a “Jesus Freak” or try to make fun of God. It scares me. All I can do is call it ignorance. I am a warrior of our Lord Jesus Christ. I love all people and that’s why it makes me sad. I don’t like seeing people lost. As for loving nature. You better believe that I love nature an my surroundings. I live in Oklahoma, “Home of the Red Man” and we have one of the most beautiful states. I love nature. But, when I’m enjoying it, I thank God for creating it. I thank Him for allowing us to have such beauty and serenity around us. I don’t worship “mother nature.” And I know this will make people mad, but out of all of the gods and goddesses in history that people believe in, our Lord Jesus Christ is ALIVE, and He has risen. God raised His only Son from the dead. He is very much ALIVE, and he is waiting for everyone of us with open arms. He’s there, you just have to open your heart and fall into His arms. He will not forsake you. Everyone else had their opinion, and I thought I’d add mine. I’m sorry if I’ve made you mad, or uncomfortable. But, if you knew me, you would know that I would embrace you in your beliefs. But, do know that I pray for you. And you can’t take that away from me. Thanks so much for reading this!!!

    • Re: My My My….

Yeah let him come back. We have another cross waiting for him too. If he does exist and decided to sit on the sidelines for 2000 years then hey he had his chance and fumbled it. The earth is better off with out him anyday. Christianity has killed and tortured more people in its name than hitler or stalin or ghengis khan ever could have killed.

If you don’t believe it get a history book and research the crusades and spanish inquisition. And look at the holocaust, good old catholic church stood by and did jack while hilter’s Gestapo and SS took and killed millions of non -christians.
Screw anyone that thinks that if you do not “believe in God” that they do not deserve to have a normal life to live and worship as they wish like any other person.
Eventually this country like almost everyother one is going to condone “a official religion” then it is going to come to guns and violence to enforce freedoms since this country cannot seem to do it now.
