stephanie is: eating eating…

i took the personality quiz at thespark.com while i ate my hummus for lunch. i answered pretty hastily and didn’t think it would be very acurate, but part of it is:

EXPERIMENTER

(Dominant
Introvert
Abstract
Thinker
)

stephanie

Like just 4% of the population you are an EXPERIMENTER (DIAT). Although you’re slightly shy (admit
it!),
you love control. When a problem comes in your way, you stomp on it
swiftly and decisively. You are bothered easily by failure in others and
failure in yourself. You don’t like people that you don’t think are
intelligent. Rather than arguing with them, however, you would just as
soon ignore them altogether.

In relationships, you have a strong heart. And because you’re
introverted, people take you as someone they can trust. But the fact is
that in addition to solving problems, you like to create them. So there’s
a decent chance that you’ll cheat on a loved one. If you do, you’ll
likely get away with it.

You’re a good person at heart, but then again, who isn’t?

i am a control freak when it comes to myself. i don’t try to force my views on others since i am pretty shy and have a to-each-their-own attitude. when faced with conflicts i’d rather just move on. the last part doesn’t really apply to me as i am so in love with dannymonkey i couldn’t dream of being with anyone else. however, things got a little blurred when we first got together back in college…

thespark also has a month long thing going on where a boy and a girl are each trying to gain 30 pounds in 30 days. i think they get $3,000 for it. i still wouldn’t do it – i am too much of a control freak about my body and what i eat for that!

everyone back to work now….

  1. My results

I’ve taken this before, but I actually thought about my responses this time. Here’s what it came up with:

    MASTERMIND
    (Submissive Introvert Abstract Thinker )

Like just 9% of the population you are a MASTERMIND (SIAT). You can be silent and withdrawn, but behind your reserved exterior lies an active mind that allows you to analyze situations and come up with creative, unexpected solutions. Normal people call this “scheming.” Don’t learn German.

Anyway, your sense of style and originality are your strengths, and people will respect your judgment once they get to know you. If you learn to be a little more personable, you could be a great leader–you’ve definitely got the “vision” thing down. Just make sure all the plotting you do behind those eyes of yours is healthy.

Famous masterminds in television: Dr. Claw, The Scarecrow and Mrs. King, Montgomery Burns.

  2. GAIN?

A contest to GAIN 30 pounds in 30 days? HAH! If I went to the Indian buffet for breakfast and lunch every day I’d probably manage that in a week! Who are these amateurs?

    BT

  3. Gain weight….Are these people nuts?????????????

Must tell you as a person who struggles daily with weight…..this contest rubs me the wrong way.

I have ALWAYS had trouble with weight. Its gotten much worse lately. Being a late thirty-something does not help either. I do NOT eat any more food, get about the same amonut of exercise and the weight continues to climb. At the moment I don’t have the time to dedicate to a rigorous exercise program.

I have a concept for a weight control method. If there was a device that would be strapped to my face that would count the calories on the things I’m putting in my mouth, I’d lose weight.

My trouble is stress. Eating has always been my defense mechanism for stress. I need someone to just break my jaw.

  4. here’s mine

    MENTOR
    (Submissive Extrovert Abstract Thinker )

Like just 6% of the population you are a MENTOR (SEAT). Some would call you the most powerful and influential of all people. Those people are wrong.

The reality is that you DON’T really WANT to impose personal views or beliefs on others. Yet you are extroverted and intelligent, and you like to get involved. So you help others with the pursuit of knowledge.

You’re the reason that people say “teachers are also students.” You are as much a learner as a master, and this satisfies you.

You won’t die a lonely death, but towards the end you’ll grow introspective, wondering if your life meant anything. This will last for decades, and you’ll die after your spouse.
