i’ve been feeling so burnt out. everything is starting to wear on me. i get up before 7am, leave the house at 7:30am, drive 12 miles and get to work by 8:20am, work work work on tedious stuff all day till home time at 4:30pm, sit in traffic forever till i get home near 6pm, try to get some site work done till danny come home and we cook dinner at 8pm, finish eating by 9pm, work on my site some more till i realize i have to get up in 6 hours… everyday. everday. i so need a vaction right now but i have none to look forward to. i have no vacation time. i asked danny if we could take a three day weekend to new york or something, but he said we can’t really spend money on that kind of thing right now. which means we can’t spend money like that till after we have moved and bought furnature and a washer and dryer and blinds or curtains for all the windows…. i guess my next vacation will be after our wedding. whenever that is. so instead i keep fantasizing about staying home and working in my pajamas. what luxury that would be! but i have to save lots of money right now so i can’t afford the risks involved with freelancing. hopefully my job will eventually let me work from home.
off i have been babbling. hehe. can you tell i want a vacation? hey kassie, got any discount fares? 😉
i feel too frazled to do anything more to the site tonight. the new lycos club is coming along well. everyone seems to like it much better than the yahoo one. i almost forgot to do the daily picture and fact for my calendar. if you don’t know about it, it is the “daily” link at the top of my journal. i noticed that the journal list has been reset. you can vote for me here.
i think i will drag my computer to the bedroom and chat from bed for a bit. feel free to stop by – we can have a slumer party 🙂
Hey, Steph… it depends on the market you wanna fly in… 🙂 But the sucky thing about *my* job is that you have to be a member to qualify for such things… and that’s $59.95 a year… 🙂
an idea for a vacation..
do you have any friends or family that have time shares/condo’s any where? if you do this gives you the opportunity to stay for free and just pay for the airline ticket. this is of course for future advice considering you don’t have much vacation. this is how i have been getting my vacations for really cheap. last year we went with a friend that had a condo to the dominican ..this year it is with my aunt and uncle that have a condo in the caymans.
..i agree i think you both need a vacation! good luck! 🙂

no.. the only one is my aunt who has a condo in vail with a friend. i’m not a skier so that isn’t for me. and they are renovating the kitchen right now so everything is torn up..

I think its ironic that you should post about your current dissatisfaction, becaussssssse:
just last night I was talking to my Mom about your job, and we were talking about money, and what amount of $ I would like to be making in a few years, when I am your age. anyhow-she was impressed with your career, and your income, and buying the house, etc. I don’t know if this will be helpful to you or just neutral, but we think you really are an impressive example of a successful person, you should be rilly proud of yourself 🙂 Plus you are cool, and you have new shoes that look like cats. What more could you want!? 🙂
