  1. I hear the screeching

Alright, I returned like I said I wouldn’t. And I’m shocked again at how many people (I counted 23) you’ve managed to flirt your way into their pockets. Doesn’t that make you SICK!? I’m glad you’re not sleeping. You shouldn’t be.
It SHOULD be illegal what you’re doing. I noticed how everyone basically said the same things: it’s okay if you only write HTML; it’s okay if you are so vain and in need of attention that you plaster your picture on every page in your site; it’s okay that you’ve “designed” your site in black with tiny purple lettering; it’s okay your making little money at your job, and it’s okay that you don’t have what it takes to program.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, What are they all trying to tell you?
I’ve read some that said I don’t know how to enjoy and appreciate an “artistic” web site. I do, believe me, when I SEE ONE. As well as a master programmer, I’m also a master at EVERY POPULAR GRAPHIC PROGRAM IN THE WORLD. What I’ve created, MGM pays big money for (clue there). Your graphics are “cute”, nothing more. And your site is amazingly poor in readability, navigation and code. HAVE YOU EVER READ ONE BOOK ON WEB DESIGN?? My WORD, this is basic stuff here!
In the real world, in the professional world, you wouldn’t even be a LEAD for a senior graphic designer. You have no idea. REAL graphic artists don’t make “little money” as you’ve repeatedly stated.
Until you learn to program, and use your brain, and stop fooling people into giving you money, nobody will HONESTLY respect you. They will SAY they do, but what do you think? They feel sorry for you. But I don’t. I know what you’re doing to them.
I do want to say that I didn’t know your mom had died, and I’m sorry about that. I also didn’t know your father was sick, and I’m sorry about that too.

Ok, I have kept my mouth shut for as long as I can…
What the fuck is your problem. If you are so big and wonderful, where is your website. Let me see just how great you think you are. Obviously your companies needs a new ethics training class, because if you took one, you are still an asshole.

Heh, you remind me of my usenet posting days. You are a TROLL, nothing more. Nothing you say has any real value. You check back every few minutes just to see who has posted a response. You like to stir things up because it is the only way you can get the attention you so desperately need. You have the emotional intelligence of a five year old. With every sad attempt you make, I am laughing at you.

I’d much rather get attention for who I am and the things I create than by how much of a fool I make out of myself.

      hahaha
Thanks for coming back, it not only proves how much of a loser you are, but it gives us something to laugh at. Once again I must say kindly go fuck yourself Mr. master coder.

my vote is to delete this post or ignore the gentleman. anyone of merit would leave a means of communicating back with em. since conversation is a two way street this gentleman has no interest in a real debate.

        • Re: I hear the screeching

I agree… just kill off the anonymous posting. Most assholes aren’t gonna waste the time to create an account. Then again, this one would not surprise me.

    • Re: I hear the screeching

So far, I’ve only seen words here. You say that you’re all these things, but you show nothing to back that up. Anyone could say they’re the best of this or the best at that, but unless they can prove it, its just words.

Steph on the other hand doesn’t claim to be incredibly proficient in code or graphics, but for someone who does not, she does a pretty damn good job maintaining a site such as this. So don’t be slamming her efforts, because she commits a lot of time into it…ask anybody here..

So if you are that good, show us some stuff…as a web designer myself, I’d like to see it too…

I would get someone to look at your keyboard, it’s got a seriously sticking shift key. (Either that, or you’re being awfully defensive; I’m giving you the benefit of the doubt.)

Are you trying to take credit for http://www.mgm.com, by the way? Hmmm … it’s black … with tiny white letters … and it’s a nice example of taking dynamic content ‘way too far — makes for irritating viewing (especially the scrolling filmstrip across the top — gack). Hopefully that’s not your claim to fame. It’s flashy all right, and a lot of places like that kind of thing, but does it communicate any better than the same thing without the flash?

Okay, let’s assume it’s not yours; it’s still a good site to contrast approaches (static HTML versus overuse of flash and javascript). I’m kind of reminded of when word processors first came out, and all of a sudden every document showed up with 14 different fonts. Why? Because it was possible.

I’ve seen flash used well — to highlight features of a product as the pointer is dragged over an image for instance — but flash for flash sake is not professionalism, it’s self-indulgence. The dynamic menus work well, but they’re annoying at the same time because they obscure parts of the page when you’ve dragged over the keyword unintentionally. Bad design there: the “hot” spots should be smaller and well marked. Plus, it just crashed my IE 5.5, so all that cutting edge “dynamic” content created a significant inconvenience.

Style can overwhelm substance, and the mgm page is a good (bad) example of this.

    • If you are in fact so talented (i’m not totally doubting that) then why are you spending so much time cutting on a person? I’ll ask again : Why are you spending so much time cutting on a person?
