*sigh*
i am kinda sad today. sleepy too. overwhelmed. stressed. for a while i was 90% sure that we would get that house. now i feel like i only have a 40% chance at it. i am waiting to hear from 4 different lenders right now. waiting on 3 different credit card applications. i have a feeling all the lenders will say the same thing – take a year or so to build up your credit. how about i take a year to hide under the covers in bed? in a year i could have more money saved towards the down payment, but they are raising our rent in september… bah bah bah bah bah. my daddy called the second i got on cam here at work. thank you daddy.
i am hungry. sad. tired. not many people have been joining my site lately, but i knew that would happen. who wants to pay for what is free? bah! bah! bah! i just want to sit here and grumble and cry all day but i have work and timeshits sheets to do.
just out of curiosity…
what happens if you don’t get a lender and they have built this house to your specs? would they just sell it to someone else? kinda weird that they would just up and build a house without knowing that someone was going to pay for it first. i wish we had places like that around here!
hopefully it will get better!

Re: just out of curiosity…
they just wait for someone to sign a contract on a house and give thier specs to start building that row. i guess the sell it if we can’t buy it. i doubt they will have trouble cause that area is selling out fast…
Re: just out of curiosity…
Lastnight, my husband and I were talking about your problem and he told me if you can’t find a lender, the house people will take you to court and sue you because you signed some contracts. I don’t know if that’s true but I hope it won’t happen to you guys. I know buying a house is really stressful…I know the feeling…*gives you your favorite flowers* *BIG HUGGS*
Re: just out of curiosity…
I have serious doubts that a builder would go to the expense of taking someone to court because they built a house before they knew if the people that said they wanted would get a loan. I also have doubts that Stephanie would sign a contract that left her open to that kind of risk.
When a house is completed and people are living in the neighborhood, the price goes up substantially, so the builder loses out on very little in the end.
Re: just out of curiosity…
no thats not true. we made sure to find out before hand. they have a check i wrote for 5k and we have 45 days since i gave it to them to get a loan. they have even started helping by sending more lenders our way today. if we do not get one -in their words- they will send us back the check “so fast your head will spin”…
Crap
Ahh dunn feel too bad, things will get better. Just wait. Maybe it’s a good thing that this is happening. I won’t give you a line about the whole things happen for a reason crap.
Just keep on moving and sooner or later the pieces will fall into place.
Eeek…
Sigh.. Please try to cheer up… I know it’s really tough..
As soon as I get a new job. I will join your site, I promise. I’ve been doing temp work on and off the past few weeks. I’m sorry that I havent joined any sooner. I want to support your site. I’m a big fan of your work.
I hope that you get the house, I really do!

Hey, girlie… keep your chin up. I have faith that some idiotic lender out there will see the potential you guys have, not just the dollar signs, and get you all squared away…

not to worry too much
i imagine your member fees will ebb and tide with the months, many of us are just going to send in donations on a monthly or bimonthly schedule.
so sorry about house.

You are probably seeing a seasonal affect too. I know that many online merchants experience a summer lull because people are outside and not online so much.
I can finally get off my butt and join your site. My work week ends in the morning (yay, a week off!) and now I can take care of some business. I am also getting a monkey mug!
