i actually slept pretty well – just not enough. i am feeling less stressed today. i think it is cause i have had a few days to worry about everything and nothing new has come up. monday we have our morgage meeting (eep!) and wednesday we have a meeting with the design center to finalize our cabnet and flooring choices. i’d like to take a moment (it may have to be a big moment) to thank the people who sent me gifties. i am super sleepy so it might take me part of the day to remember them all since they aren’t in front of me. thank you holly and fred for the dollhouse! i will start it when we move and have room! thank you beachdog for the taffy and coloring book :). thank you to muttly for the cute monkey magnet – it is already on the fridge. thank you to xcandescent for the wonderful art book – i can’t wait to read it! thank you squint for the lite bright – i stil have a powerpuff girls pic on it… thanks to scott for the draogn hat – it is so funny, ima wear it when i am just sitting at the puter. thank you david for the beaded headband kit… i started one of them but need time to finish it. thank you to juliabee for the silly beads! thank you david for the bunny handbag – everyone at my party thought it was great cause the tail is the zipper pull :). big thanks to my goo friend moosie for all his neat-o gifties.thank you nuggie for the organizer – i’ve already started putting addresses into it. thank you jon jackson for all the gifties – i especially love the beads. thank you krizsa for the sanrio stuffs! thank you sachi for the stickers and sanrio stuffs – so cute! thank you everyone at my party! this is the most presents i have ever received- prolly in many years combined. big big thank yous and sloppy wet kisses to danny for the wonderful gifties he sent. if i didn’t mention you let me know and i will tell you if i got it yet. phew! i was just going to do written thank yous but people were wondering if they had arrived. they sort of all hit me in 2 days making it hard to write about all of them. i am running late now. gotta go shower. |

i see you’ve been trained in the fine art of thank you notes. (or else you’re just really good at it)
1.) mention the person’s name
2.) mention the gift they gave you specificallly
3.) mention a little special somthing about their gift such as why you like it or how you’ll use it
my grandma pounded those into me and before i went digital (what’s a pen?) i was unable to let a thankyou note go out of my mailbox without these 3 rules of making it sound personal.

hmm… i can’t remember if anyone ever taught me thankyous. it just made sense to do it this way. i think i have recieved thank yous from my gramma and aunt sort of like that so maybe i picked it up there.

hmm…i heard from someone else on this and it seems this phenomenon of instinctive knowing how to write a thank you note is quite wide spread… oh well, more better notes in the world.
